Periodicals Division Reading Room

The Periodicals Division Reading Room of the Ossolineum Library is located at 24 Sołtysowicka Street in Wroclaw.

The reading room has 27 seats.

Periodicals published after 1800 are available to registered readers.

The collection can be consulted through the Online Main Catalogue and the Periodicals Card Catalogue. An alphabetical card catalogue and a catalogue of microfilmed periodicals are also available on site.

In the reading room it is possible to use not only catalogued copies but also current journals that have not yet been processed. Computers with free internet access are also available.

Orders to the reading room should be made electronically using the appropriate ordering form.

It is also possible to have an article photocopied on site (for a fee).

The Reading Room also has an extensive collection of reference books with more than 1,500 titles. The core of the collection is made up of works on press studies. There are also bibliographies and lexicons, encyclopaedias and biographical and linguistic dictionaries, thematic and general catalogues, directories and catalogues of the Polish press. Numerous monographs on periodicals are also available.
