Main Reading Room

The Main Reading Room of the Ossolineum Library is located in the main building of the Ossolineum at 37 Szewska Street in Wroclaw, on the second floor of the C staircase.

The Reading Room has 82 seats, including two for disabled readers - those in wheelchairs and those with hearing or visual impairments.

Books published after 1800 are available to registered readers, as are microfilms in exceptional cases.

A reference collection of about 9,000 items is available on site. Its contents can be consulted in the card catalogue of the Main Reading Room.

Books published after 1800 should be searched in the

• Online Main Catalogue, then in the
• Books Card Catalogue, which is also available on paper in the Main Catalogue, and in the
• Subject Card Catalogue, which is only available on site in the Main Catalogue.

Opposite the Main Reading Room is the Readers' Zone, where you can relax (there are two comfortable acoustic chairs to relax in), have a drink and chat.

WiFi is available in the Main Reading Room and the Reader's Zone.
