Book Culture in the 17th–18th Centuries in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth
Book culture in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth was an important component of the intellectual life of the early modern period, encompassing not only the book as a material object, but also the circle of people, institutions, and practices involved in its creation, dissemination, and reception. The conference will focus on research into the functioning of the book in the 17th and 18th centuries within the territory of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, addressing issues of its production, circulation, and reception, as well as its cultural, social, and artistic significance.
The organizers invite scholars to submit paper proposals covering the following thematic areas:
Fee: free of charge
